Kim Kardashian’s latest health scare comes with heart-wrenching confession
Kim Kardashian recently opened up about how it felt to undergo an endoscopy at the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Oesophageal Health.
For those unaware, Kim and Khloe Kardashian founded the UCLA Robert G. Kardashian Center for Oesophageal Health in 2019, and they provide “resources for groundbreaking research, patient care and education/training, in addition to support of efforts in esophageal health.”
During the November 5 episode of The Kardashians, the 46-year-old American media personality and socialite stated that she never thought of ending up becoming a patient at the same center she founded in honour of their late father Robert Kardashian.
In a confessional, she articulated, “Because of my dad’s experience, my sisters and I have opened the Robert Kardashian Oesophageal Health Center at UCLA. The irony of this all — the fact that I helped to put together this building, never knowing that I would need it.”
For those unaware, the SKIMS founder underwent an endoscopy as a follow-up after an “irregular area” was detected in her oesophagus during an initial endoscopy.
“I went in for an endoscopy and the doctor said my esophagus has these irregularities and I have to have them cut out, and I was like, ‘Oh come on, we’re not repeating this.’ It’s the same thing my dad had. I’m like, nope, we’re not doing this,” Kim Kardashian explained.
It is pertinent to mention that Robert Kardashian succumbed to oesophageal cancer at the age of 59 on September 30, 2003.
