SITREP:
At 0745 cdt this morning, the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders (NTX PGR), with the assistance and protection of (10) Dallas County Sheriff’s Dept. vehicles, had the distinct honor of escorting (13) semi-trailers from Wreaths Across America to Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Each semi-trailer carried approx. 6,000 donated wreaths—together, nearly 59,000 wreaths destined to rest upon the graves of our nation’s veterans here at DFW National Cemetery.

With the 10+ police vehicles providing a VP-level escort, traffic was safely blocked to ensure the procession arrived without issue. This extraordinary effort reflects the dedication of law enforcement, volunteers, and the professional drivers who traveled thousands of miles to deliver these symbols of remembrance.

As thousands of other semis and volunteers are out today across the United States transporting these Donated Wreaths, may God grant protection, safety and blessings to all who serve in this mission, and comfort to the families of those whose loved ones will have wreaths placed upon their graves.

What an amazing and moving annual event!

We extend our deepest gratitude to Wreaths Across America, to every volunteer, and to each driver who gave of their time and strength so that every veteran may be honored.

This tradition began in 1992 when Maine businessman Morrill Worcester, owner of Worcester Wreath Company, laid surplus wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery as a personal tribute to fallen veterans.

After a photo of the event went viral in 2005, the effort grew into a national movement, leading to the formation of the non-profit Wreaths Across America (WAA) in 2007, with his wife, Karen Worcester, serving as Executive Director.

Some Say, you die twice, Once when you take your very last breath
Secondly, when your name is spoken for the very last time
So say their names

Above all, we give thanks to the Lord for men and women such as these—whose service, sacrifice, and devotion ensure that no hero is ever forgotten.
