So I wanted to talk about what it’s like to live alone in Pakistan as a single working woman and traveling across cities like Peshawar, Islamabad & Lahore!
Well, because I see many girls out there living like they don’t deserve any bit of freedom or choice of career just because the thought of living away from family scares them. Some cities like Karachi or Islamabad may have a liberal mindset for women, however, this doesn’t change the general mindset and it’s painful to get basic things done when you can’t be assured of security and safety 24/7.
Just like you can’t walk on the street, talk to anyone, or do basic chores in Pakistan outside your home because well yeah, you’ll end up getting a lot of judgy looks, and getting catcalled will be your destiny.

E-11, Bahria town and the like, the private and unofficial housing societies, have these problems. Just say private housing societies, real(CDA) sectors, especially those not under construction rarely have these problems.

Yeah its true my fiance is from Punjab Multan Urdu speaking nd i am Yousafzai pashtun. She also said the same thing tht she never felt same in her own city the safe she feel in peshawar but in my opinion peshawar is onky lacking in city developement once peshawar got developed like Islamabad i ll say it will be very great model city for living. But for now for good lifestyle, fashion nd personal grooming i myself prefer Islamabad.
